From IDF to IDF-SBA.<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
The names, logos and programs have evolved over nearly two decades, but the idea behind them has remained consistent: practical support that helps people and organizations move forward.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
THE LOGOS TELL PART OF THE STORY<\/span>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

It began simply as IDF.<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
The organization now known as IDF-SBA began in 2007 as IDF, the Internet Development Fund, with its original home at InternetDevelopmentFund.com. As the programs changed, the identity evolved with them.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

2007 THE FOUNDATION<\/span>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

IDF: Internet Development Fund<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The U.S. New Biz Stimulus began in 2007 in partnership with IDF, the Internet Development Fund<\/strong>, then a brand of iGROWyourBiz.com and Networking City, LLC.<\/p>\n

The original program allocated $5 million to help up to 1,000 small-business owners receive up to $5,000 each to establish a professional presence online.<\/p>\n

At the beginning, the assistance was deliberately practical. The fund primarily provided website design and business cards to small businesses with fewer than 10 employees and less than $1 million in annual revenue.<\/p>\n

The program gained national visibility when news releases appeared on major business and news websites.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

2012 THE EXPANSION<\/span>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

A new logo, a larger commitment and the New Biz Stimulus identity.<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

In 2012, IDF introduced a new logo and new look. Another $50 million was allocated to help up to 10,000 new and existing businesses receive up to $5,000 each.<\/p>\n

The broader project was now marketed as New Biz Stimulus<\/strong> and held as a marketing brand for IDF.<\/p>\n

The 2012 identity also began pairing the Internet Development Fund with Small Business Assistance<\/strong>, foreshadowing the IDF-SBA name that would become more prominent later.<\/p>\n

The program closed at the end of 2013 when Maurice Evans relocated from Florida to Kansas in January 2014.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

2020 THE REINVENTION<\/span>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

IDF-SBA: International Development Fund for Small Business Assistance<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

In 2020, during another period of economic uncertainty, Maurice Evans revived the New Biz Stimulus Program under the IDF SBA FUND<\/strong> banner.<\/p>\n

IDF SBA FUND formally used the name International Development Fund for Small Business Assistance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The 2020 program allocated $500 million in private funding capacity to assist up to 10,000 business startups with access to as much as $50,000 each through its 0% business line-of-credit model.<\/p>\n

The support model had also expanded far beyond the original website-and-business-card offering into professional technology, marketing, communications and business-development resources.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

2026 THE NONPROFIT CHAPTER<\/span>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

IDF-SBA becomes the International Development Fund for Social Benefit Assistance.<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

In 2026, the familiar IDF-SBA identity entered a new chapter.<\/p>\n

Small Business Assistance became Social Benefit Assistance<\/strong>, reflecting a renewed focus on nonprofit organizations and the missions they serve.<\/p>\n

The first YES Grant cycle opened to eligible U.S. 501(c)(3) organizations while IDF-SBA began developing a broader ecosystem of grants, funding-readiness support, technology, member resources, practical services and Corporate Community Funding Program guidance.<\/p>\n

The current approach starts with what an organization can access now, helps create early wins and strengthens the credibility and capacity needed for larger opportunities over time.<\/p><\/div><\/div>
