The International Development Fund for Social Benefit Assistance helps nonprofit organizations find support, strengthen credibility, reduce operating costs and build the capacity to keep their missions funded.
IDF-SBA exists for the nonprofit leader who has a real mission, real people to serve and real work to do, but may not yet have the staff, history, systems or funding infrastructure larger grantmakers expect.
Founded in 2007, the International Development Fund for Social Benefit Assistance has always been built around practical assistance that helps people and organizations move forward. In 2026, IDF-SBA began a renewed nonprofit focus designed especially for grassroots and growing organizations that need both immediate support and a pathway toward greater funding readiness.
We start with what is possible now.
Too many organizations are told they are “not grant-ready” and hear that as “not ready to be funded.” We disagree.
A nonprofit may not yet qualify for every major foundation or government grant, but it may still be eligible for corporate community programs, in-kind grants, donated technology, local support, professional resources, discounts and other forms of assistance that can begin creating momentum immediately.
That is why IDF-SBA talks about funding readiness, not simply grant readiness.

IDF-SBA has a particular interest in new, small and grassroots nonprofits because those organizations are often overlooked precisely when they need help most. IDF-SBA is an independent private organization. It is not a government agency and does not represent itself as one. Its role is to provide grants, resources, technology, practical assistance and access to opportunities that help nonprofit organizations become stronger and better funded.
