ABOUT IDF-SBA
Practical support for nonprofits since 2007.
INDEPENDENT. PRIVATE. MISSION-FOCUSED.
The International Development Fund for Social Benefit Assistance helps nonprofit organizations access practical support, strengthen credibility, reduce operating costs and build the capacity to keep their missions funded.
We start with what can help now.
IDF-SBA exists for nonprofit leaders with real missions, real people to serve and real work to do, including organizations that may not yet have the staff, history or infrastructure larger funders expect.
Founded in 2007, IDF-SBA has always been built around practical assistance that helps people and organizations move forward. Its renewed nonprofit focus brings that same instinct to grassroots, growing and established organizations that need both useful support now and a pathway toward greater funding readiness.
Too often, “not grant-ready” gets heard as “not ready to be funded.” Those are not the same thing. A nonprofit may not qualify for every major foundation or government grant today, yet still be able to pursue corporate community programs, in-kind support, technology benefits, local support, professional resources and other forms of assistance while it strengthens what comes next.
The mission is the reason. Funding is the fuel.
Get a YES. Build from there.
An early win can do more than pay for something. It can create outside validation, strengthen credibility and give an organization momentum.
IDF-SBA combines direct in-kind support, broadly shared funding information, readiness resources, technology, savings and practical implementation so nonprofits can build from what is possible now instead of waiting for some future day when they are “ready enough.”

Especially useful for grassroots nonprofits. Not limited to them.
IDF-SBA has a particular interest in new, small and grassroots nonprofits because those organizations are often overlooked precisely when useful support could create the most momentum.
But the same resources can help growing and established organizations reduce costs, strengthen systems, diversify support and expand capacity. The current YES Grant cycle is focused on verified U.S. 501(c)(3) organizations, while other IDF-SBA resources can expand more broadly as program and fulfillment capacity grows.
IDF-SBA is an independent private organization. It is not a government agency and does not represent itself as one.
